Happy Friday Y’all! I wanted to share my new fav go-to vodka martini, so when better than a Friday afternoon to kick-off the weekend and have a happy hour at home!
Colin and I love making fun cocktails on the weekends, sometimes it’s a delish marg, an Aperol spritz, or a yummy prosecco cocktail – it really depends on our mood and what we’re cooking or ordering in for dinner.
A few months, ago I would have said it depends on where we are planning to go/what we are planning to do on our Friday night but things are looking a little different lately, so all the more reason to share this super yummy and easy cocktail recipe with you all!
This vodka martini recipe is EASY, so easy I taught my girlfriend Taylor how to make it over FaceTime last Friday.
Alright, let’s get into it – keep scrolling!
Ingredients:
- 2.5 oz vodka of choice – we love Titos and Grey Goose. I find a good vodka makes a huge difference in a martini that you are sipping.
- 1 oz St.Germain Elderflower Liqueur. I AM OBSESSED with this stuff. (Another cocktail coming at you soon with this)
- .5 oz lemon juice
- 1 lemon slice for garnish
- zest of lemon for garnish
- white granulated sugar for garnish
Instructions:
- Chill your martini glasses for an extra refreshing cocktail (PRO-tip)
- Prepare your garnishes by slicing your lemon & getting your zester ready.
- Prepare your martini glasses by running a lemon slice around the rim of the glass and dipping it in your sugar (optional – I normally only do 1/4-1/2 of the glass).
- Fill your martini shaker with ice.
- Add your vodka, St.Germain and lemon juice to the shaker.
- Shake the martini shaker until your contents are well chilled.
- Strain your drink into your pre chilled and rimmed martini glasses, garnish with a lemon slice and zest – see photos below for inspiration.
- Sit back, and enjoy – CHEERS!
Maple and I are wishing you a safe & wonderful weekend!
Cheers Y’all!
